Wayne Turner – New England Regional Manager/ Tennis Professional

Wayne Turner is a USPTA certified tennis professional with a Professional 1 rating from Providence, Rhode Island. Wayne does a lot of work with USPTA as a professional tester and has been recognized three times as New England Tester of the Year. Wayne was the head tennis coach for the Providence College Lady Friars for over 10 years where he led the team to the New England Championship in 2004. Wayne has taught all over Rhode Island and has had great success coaching many high school and college level players most recently at both the Carnegie Abbey Club, in Newport Rhode Island as well as the Indoor Tennis Court, the oldest public facility in the United States.

Doug Eng – Tennis Professional

Doug Eng is a USPTA and PTR Master Professional, one of 12 persons worldwide to hold both honors. He is a member of the USTA National Sport Science Committee and is certified by NSCA, Etcheberry and Academia Sanchez-Casal. Doug has expertise in sport psychology, footwork, biomechanics, high-speed/Dartfish video analysis and strength/conditioning. He has spoken at many national conferences and has written over 70 articles some of which have been translated into multiple languages. Doug has played the USTA Circuit, coached college tennis for sixteen years, and has worked with over one hundred ranked players as a USTA High Performance Coach. Doug directs the Tennis Academy at Harvard and has trained/certified over 1,000 coaches for the USTA and PTR. Doug has won several national awards and was named Pro of the Year twice each from the PTR and USPTA and was named Best of Boston 2010 by Boston Magazine. Most importantly, Doug believes in having fun on the court.

Paul Bergesen – Tennis Professional

Paul Bergesen is a USPTR certified Tennis Professional from Andover, MA. For the past 23 years Paul has been at the Willows Racquet and Fitness Club in North Andover working with a wide array of clientele including both male and female USTA teams of all levels, as well as top level juniors. Paul has also been the Boys Tennis Coach at North Andover High School for the past 9 years and coaches at The Tennis Academy at Harvard College in the summer. Paul’s playing ability is equally as strong his teaching; in 2010 he competed for his team in the USTA Team National Event in California. Recently Paul and his son Kevin, an All American from Middlebury College, achieved the number one ranking in New England in Father / Son Doubles.

Sean Lozier – Tennis Professional

Sean Lozier is a USPTA and USTA Quickstart certified tennis professional originally from Canada.  He currently teaches out of the Weymouth Club in Weymouth MA, facilitating an array of junior and adult programs.  Sean has been instrumental in developing the Quickstart curriculum and leading classes for children ages 4-10. He also oversees the CMITA Working Women’s A1 Gold and South of Boston men’s 4.0 teams, and conducts 3.0 adult clinics.  He works individually with high school students in preparation for junior and varsity try-outs and guides them throughout to ensure a successful season.  He is a Dartfish certified video analyst in charge of filming and assembling college videos and utilizes the software to evaluate top juniors’ strokes in the high performance program.   Sean’s goal is not only for you to have fun, but also to have you walk away with an improvement in your game each and every time you are on the court!

Jason Solomon – Tennis Professional

Jason Solomon has recently relocated to the Boston area after five years of playing, coaching and teaching tennis in Rochester NY.  He played three years for the University of Rochester Yellow-Jackets and worked as an instructor for the University’s summer tennis camp and year-round indoor clinics.  He has spent the last two years working as a private instructor for students of all ages in the Rochester area.  Since moving to Boston he has become affiliated with the Newton Tennis Program as well as the Brookline Tennis Academy.  Jason works to instill in all his students the same passion and excitement that he shares for tennis and is very excited to be teaching in Boston.

Chris Jarrell – Tennis Professional

Chris Jarrell is currently Owner and Director of Commonwealth Tennis and the Head Boys’ Tennis Coach at Marshfield High School. In over a decade as a USPTA-certified Tennis Professional, Chris has served as the Assistant Director of the Newton Tennis Program and as a Senior Professional at the Brookline Tennis Academy. He has extensive experience directing both juniors and adult programs. He was also captain of the Newton South Tennis Team and a well renowned USTA junior player. Chris raises the level of every lesson he teaches with his unmatched passion and deep understanding of the game.
