Athletes Who Make MORE Money Than Roger Federer

Although Roger Federer was named “the world’s most remarkable sports star”, beating golf’s Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, and basketball’s LeBron James, he is NOT the highest paid athlete in the world.

Federer is quickly approaching the $100 million mark in career prize money. Impressive? Not nearly as impressive as his off-court earnings. Just this past year from June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015 he made $67 million dollars.

Federer’s sponsor portfolio includes long-term deals with Nike, Rolex, Credit Suisse and Sunrise, Switzerland’s largest private telecommunications provider. He recently extended his Mercedes-Benz deal for an additional three years, and also includes Wilson, Lindt, Jura, Moet & Chandon, National Suisse and NetJets among sponsors

  1. Sounds about right… boxing was #1 in ESPN’s toughest sport list for obvious reasons, soccer is the world’s more popular sport and those 2 stars are incredible, and then Fed. The travesty is the women making same as the men in tennis, GTFO… nice world we live in where someone can hardly work for 40 minutes a match with crappy tennis and half or less of the sponsors commercials/ads and court side attendance and make the same as the men who are flying all over the court for 3-4 hours, sometimes 17 HOURS, scintillating the crowd, raking in $$$ from all hours of sponsors and commercials…. makes you wonder where all that female prize money is coming from.
