One of the most innovative things they are doing at the Balboa Tennis Club is their "Challenge Court" program. 3 courts are always reserved for challenge matches, where players can rotate in and play the reigning champion. Their 12 championship hard courts have been graced by celebrities and professional tennis players throughout their 80-year history. The club is also home to the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championship. This year will be the 126th consecutive year it has taken place and it features many of the top collegiate (and future professional) doubles players in the nation.
